A Brief History of William J. Sager and His Involvement in the Axe Industry

In 1895, William J. Sager patented what he called a "Chemical Process of Treating Metals". He then used that process to develop a line of axes that would become recognizable for the duration of the next decade and beyond. Through a lifetime of working in the axe industry under numerous different businesses and companies, his life was spent forming axes and the companies that made them.
